Hays being out is not a surprise, Mateo on the other hand is.

Yep, I was at the game last night and wondering why he was still batting 9th. He needs to be playing as much as possible right now and should be moved up in the lineup.

Perhaps he's still not 100% though.

Frazier batting 5th is interesting at this point.

Wonder if Houck has really big splits. Hyde is getting all the lefties in the lineup today

Houck career.

vs rhp: .524 OPS
vs lefties: .706 OPS

So the lineup makes more sense. Damn good pitcher. Not gonna be easy. Hope Wells is on his game.

Definitely makes more sense but unless they're managing health with Mateo, there are other righties I'd sit right now over him.

Houck has a very good sinker and often sinkers work best vs the same handed hitter.

I would bet Mateo still isn’t 100%, no reason to have him out at this point otherwise.

6th

My bad. Still interesting since he's been quite bad with the bat since his great first two games and now even the overall hitting numbers are rather poor.

Its basically Mateo or Urias. I guess you could DH one of the two and sit Mounty but I dont like that. Havent looked at individual mumbers. Maybe Urias has hit him well ajd Mateonhas not. Anyway yeah, Id prefer Jorge play as often as possible when he is healthy.

Id prob have O Hearn ahead of him. Understandable why Urias and Vavra are 8 and 9. Urias splits up the lefties and Vavra is pretty bad.

They could DH Gunner and have the ideal defensive alignment between 3B, SS, and 2B.

I wouldn't mind having Stowers in this saying too. Just sayin.

I'd bat Frazier 9th and move everyone else up a spot.

Frazier shouldn't be getting regular ABs.

Random note. Just saw our old friend Evan Phillips is with LAD and had a 1.14 ERA last year. He sucked with us. Typical.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Hyde said just easing Mateo back in after coming back from the hip thing, day game after night game.

Used to be typical. Feels more like a one off these days.

Our whole pitching staff is littered with names who have improved their performance since joining this organization. Such a breath of fresh air. It's not perfect for sure, but a lot to like and reason for optimism moving forward, too. Hopefully Means has one of those "better than before the injury" type of comebacks which we see sometimes from this type of thing, just never here.

Mullins scores a run with his speed and baserunning.  Tagging on a fly ball to medium center.
