Tyler Wells has been good and seems to be getting better.  The Orioles were smart to make sure he got stretched out in ST.

 

And to think there was consternation over him not going to the BP in order to make room for GR in the rotation instead of Norfolk....I'd say it mostly worked out.

I can see how it's perceived that way but that dude looks like he's having the time of his life out there. Lest we forget he pitched in Cuba for a few years and those guys are more demonstrative than the typical American player.

I'd say those things contributed more to Rodriguez's opportunity than Wells'. But good for Tyler to put to bed any talk that he needed to go to the pen.
