There's finally a game on MASN and all I have on my screen right now is the test pattern. It's like 1965 after the station goes off the air for the day. 

 

I swear to god, could MASN suck any more?

I had no idea there was a game today.

I just tuned in and it looks good.  Ben doing the broadcast.

Tuned in just in time to see Adley get a hit.

Honest question, does that concern you? 

I don't really have any expectations for any of them.   They might perform, they might not. 
But I'm not concerned at-all by them having poor outings now.  

Maybe in the last week before the season.

Id rather they not. Especially over multiple outings. Not sure how Voth looked before today.

Voth had one so-so game before today (2.0 IP, 3H, 1ER, 1 HBP).

 

Baker has now had two disastrous outings, and one good one.

 

With Tate and maybe Bautista out to start the season, and now Hall likely unavailable, I'd hope they get it together by the end of the month, especially with Krehbiel not looking like an option.

 

At least this is making the Givens signing look a lot better, and he did have a scoreless inning today.

I didn't expect Kreihbel to make the team any way. Voth and Watkins are interchangeable, IMO. As long as one of them can be the long man, we'll be fine. With Baker, I put more stock in his 69 and 2/3 innings last year than in a few spring innings.

 

Bautista, Perez, Givens, Wells, Akin, Politi, Baker and Voth or Watkins. Once Dillon Tate is ready, you remove the weak link. 

 

With all of this said, we know how volatile relievers can be year over year so who knows?

Voth will be OK. Baker will be OK. Wells will be another power arm out of the pen. Givens will be solid. I don't expect Bautista to miss much if any time. Pen will be fine.
