Joey K was pretty good for most of the year last year and was used heavily, but it went wrong the last quarter of the season and he still seems to be struggling.
His velocity is down, I wonder if he is nursing an injury.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

Not much of a surprise, but sounds like Hall is not in the running for a rotation spot to begin the year. No insight into whether they're leaning bullpen or Norfolk.

He strikes me as a future reliever anyway.
Very possible, but hopefully they do all they can to give him the best chance to be a starter.

I like the idea of him and Grayson in a tandem to start the year.
I go back and forth on this. I think I would rather go to a 6 man rotation. It limits everyone's innings, but allows them to go 6 or 7 innings consistently.

The big club would benefit in the short term from Hall in the bullpen to start the year but given the lack of rotation depth at AAA, it might be a good idea to have Hall work as a starter and be available to fill in if there's an injury.

Not really. Its not just an innings count but a pitch count. Even in a 6 man rotation they arent going to start throwing 120+ pithes in a game. Theyve likely never thrown 120 pitches a game in their professional career. So there is that issue. On top of that if you have multiple poor outings it leaves one less spot for a RP. Working with a 7 man BP instead of 8.

There's finally a game on MASN and all I have on my screen right now is the test pattern. It's like 1965 after the station goes off the air for the day.
I swear to god, could MASN suck any more?

I actually just talked a buddy that has FIOS. I stand corrected, it's not MASN, it's Comcast.
