Down 14-0 on points in the paint. MD's been at their best this year when they've got points in the paint in transition.

Willard is signed through 2028-29. The terms of his buyout are such that he’ll be here for at least 5-6 years. He’s not going anywhere, nor should he. The fact anyone is calling for his head 13 games into the year is an absolute joke.
He didn't call for his head. He said he's got a long leash.

They better get it together soon. This isn’t good at all. He couldn’t get the Hall back on track when they slid off the rails last year and this looks eerily similar.
So, you're out on Willard? I can see not having much of an opinion yet, but I don't get being out on him.
While he's yet to add size, he's recruiting well. He gets the fanbase. There are a lot of good signs overall imo.
This year should be about being competitive most nights, and hoping to get into the tournament. Expectations got raised a bit with the early success, but we knew this team lacked both size and much depth.
They've got some good wins on the resume. They've shown they can play at a quality level. They've also shown they can look putrid for long stretches.
It's a long conference schedule. Going to see both extremes continue I think.
Recruiting solid. I’m not jumping ship. But was hoping to buy some time before we had to jump right into Turgeon/apologists mode. Having to reach for excuses as to ineptitude.
Maryland shouldn’t score 7 points in 15 minutes against anyone. And it’s happened a number of times in the past couple weeks now.

Herm, tell me again how much Mich sucks and why I should be leery to bet them. Not mad at you. Mich has been bad. Just had a horrible home loss. So this performance right now. Yeah, should have no belief and the apathy should be back immediately

Gonna be more of this, this season. Games where they look really ugly. Should be other games where they look good too.
I do think the starting 5 is good enough, and experienced enough they shouldn't be getting run off the floor like this.
One thing if the lack of depth gets exposed, or shots just aren't falling, or Reeese is has foul trouble and you are handled inside.
But a start like tonight is just deflating.

This performance isn’t about Michigan. That’s the worrisome part.

31-7. 4:55 left in the half.
That's a wild 15 minutes of ineptitude.
2 of 22 from the floor.
Outrebounded 21-10.
Michigan 14 of 21.

Either was the UCLA game for the most part. Was 90% about MD.

One thing Gary would have done was sub out everyone. Not just finding backups who would play with some intensity, but bringing the starters to the bench to hear him and refocus.

Reese... ugh.
I don’t like picking on kids, but he is very soft. I just do not think he is strong enough.

Even the MD football team managed to score 27 points when they played at Michigan. If they can't equal that, they should have to walk back to College Park.

Dickinson is an ass. Talented but an ass.

Long was flirting with disaster that whole possession.

He should be like Ibekwe or Gist... but he's more like T. Morris, from Morris' senior year. He doesn't play like a big.
That was foul #3.
He also lacks awareness.

It's 40-13 with a minute left in the half.
Do you leave the starters out in the 2nd half, or do you just go deep into the bench and give the bench extended minutes?

I can see an argument for asking the starters to stay in and deal with the beating.... but with this game being over, I think I'd want to go give Cornish, Swanton-Rodger, etc extended run.
Unreal.
44-13 at the half. That's brutal.
