Former LSU OL Marcus Dumervil (nephew of former NFL pass-rusher Elvis Dumervil) has announced he'll be transferring to Maryland. He's a former 4-star recruit ranked as the 11th-best offensive tackle in the 2020 class, and the 17th-best player from the state of Florida. He saw the field in 16 games for the Tigers over the last three seasons, including one start in 2021. Has excellent versatility, and can play both tackle and guard.

 

With this addition, Maryland's class jumps up to #23 in the country and #4 in the Big Ten. Dumervil is their highest-rated recruit so far in this cycle.

Dippre said he got an offer from Alabama over the weekend. Guess he opened some eyes the past two seasons.

He’ll be announcing his decision between Alabama and Ohio State next week.

Yeah, seems odd. Had 3 years at MD.  Will be curious to see where he ends up. Hate losing that bulk and experience from the line.

That is rough.  He gives them some muscle that is greatly needed.

Apparently there was some sort of falling out between the coaching staff and Nasili-Kite. Not sure what happened, but he’ll be moving on.

While I expect there will be some more departures in the May window, thus far the portal has been much friendlier to the Terps than it was last year.

They’re reportedly not planning on adding any more defensive linemen. They’re happy with the addition of Phillips and are expecting the younger players to step up.

I'd actually go with the offensive side of the line. Specifically a C perhaps. I'm not sold on what I've seen from either Deery or Harris.

They’re in the mix for another former local blue-chip tackle in the portal. Coaching staff is still very high on Deery.
