TE Weston Wolff and LB Ahmad McCullough have entered the transfer portal.

 

McCullough is the most notable player to leave so far, he played in every game this season and was fourth on the team in tackles.

Wolff is headed to USF.

West Virginia WR Kaden Prather has entered the transfer portal. He's a former 4-star recruit from Germantown and was recruited by Maryland out of high school. He finished third on the team in receiving as a sophomore this season. Another name to keep an eye on.

South Carolina RB MarShawn Lloyd has hit the portal. He was a 5-star recruit from DeMatha and played for Elijah Brooks.

Dippre said he got an offer from Alabama over the weekend. Guess he opened some eyes the past two seasons.

Like TJ Butler, Shockley is headed to Charlotte. Biff Poggi has now snagged one assistant coach and two players from Maryland.

Demon Clowney (formerly Ole Miss) is headed to Charlotte. Biff is gonna have the school renamed St Frances South.

Former FIU WR Tyrese Chambers committed. He had several P5 offers, including from Coach Prime at Colorado.

Former FIU WR Tyrese Chambers has announced he'll be transferring to Maryland. He considered joining the team last year, but elected to stay with the Panthers. He's a Baltimore native, and will arrive as a graduate transfer. He led FIU in receiving yards and touchdowns in each of the last two seasons, including his monstrous 2021 which saw him rack up 1,074 yards and catch 9 touchdowns from former Maryland QB Max Bortenschlager.

 

With the departures of Rakim Jarrett, Dontay Demus, Jr., and Jacob Copeland, he has a good chance to step into a starting role immediately.

Former Saint Francis (PA) DE Donnell Brown has announced he’ll be transferring to Maryland. He’s a native of Upper Marlboro, and was with the Red Flash since 2019. He had 45 tackles and was tied for the team lead with 6.5 sacks last season.

He was named an FCS All-American, and the NEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

He’s narrowed his choices to Nebraska, Oregon, Tennessee, and Ohio State.

Former Miami (FL) DB Avantae Williams has announced he'll be transferring to Maryland. He's a former 4-star recruit, and was the second-best safety in the country and seventh-best player in the state of Florida when he committed to the Hurricanes. He tallied 27 tackles and 1 interception over the last two years. He was ranked as the 38th-best player in the portal during this cycle.

 

Maryland's 2023 recruiting class is now ranked #33 in the country, and #6 in the conference.

247Sports did some updates to their rankings, Maryland now has the 10th-best class of transfers in the country. 30th-best overall.

Last year, Locksley said “the portal giveth, and the portal taketh away”. It’s certainly given more than it’s taken for the Terps this cycle.

He picked Oregon, so that's one less top guy we'll have to see in the B1G. And it continues a huge day out here for the Ducks.

Former Tennessee DL Jordan Phillips has announced he'll be transferring to Maryland. He redshirted last season for the Volunteers, seeing time in three games. He's a former 3-star recruit, and likely slots in as a 3-technique in the Terps' scheme.
