My wife bought me a new O's polo a few weeks back. Been saving it and was hoping to wear it on the first day of the playoffs. Figured today is an emergency all out have to W so wearing it for the game.

If they win, you have to wear it every day and you can't wash it. Good luck!!

Interesting lineup today with Vavra and Stowers in there. I guess we have to try something.
1. Cedric Mullins (L) CF
2. Adley Rutschman (S) C
3. Anthony Santander (S) RF
4. Ryan Mountcastle ® 1B
5. Gunnar Henderson (L) SS
6. Terrin Vavra (L) LF
7. Rougned Odor (L)
2B 8. Ramon Urias ®
3B 9. Kyle Stowers (L) DH

Didn't see the pitch, but absolutely no problem with someone of Henderson's abilities and discerning approach swinging 3-0. Probably means he got something he likes.
Henderson weakly grounds into a fielders choice on 3-0 with no outs. Take a frickin pitch rook.
If he chased something borderline that's a bad decision, but if he got what he was looking for and just missed it that's good process but a bad result.

AAAA material. Can’t believe this was supposed to be an acceptable replacement. Strikes out on 3 straight fastballs with the bases loaded. Whiffers on 2 of them belt high that any major leaguer could barrel up. Kid sucks.

I get your point. I caught the tail end of the play, not the pitch either. But rather they try to get on base the easy way when the bats are ice cold. He’s not Aaron Judge.

He's got a 900+ OPS since coming up. Good chance he's the best hitter on the team. I'd rather him swing at the 3-0 pitch he's looking for if he gets it than take that pitch for strike 1.

Unfortunate for a guy with less than 50 at bats in sparing playing time but those are the breaks, total bust…

He wears 83 FFS. Gunnar wears 2. A real number. Cause he’s supposed to be here.

He needs time and ABs. Dont know if we can afford to give it to him in '23. We have to improve some of these spots where we could just go in house. Keeping the status quo with Mountcastle, Hays, and Stowers isnt gonna cut it.,SSS obviously but the K rate is very high and Hyde has protected him against LHP. SO all the Ks are against RHP

I mentioned in another thread, that we need to stop looking at a player who is struggling and decide he is not worth keeping I heard Cal Sr say that it takes a player up to 1000 AB’s to determine what he is and a good organization recognizes that. We do it here in less than 50 AB’s.

610 OPS thru first 54 PA.He wears 83 FFS. Gunnar wears 2. A real number. Cause he’s supposed to be here.
Rutschman was 608 thru 97 PA.
Sometimes they hit the ground running (Gunnar). Sometimes it takes a while.
