More power to you if you can drink any diet soda. Ugh

Fake sweeteners taste bad/bitter to about 30% of people... nobody knows why, but it's a taste-bud thing unrelated to other aspects of taste...

For me it's the after taste of Diet Soda. I drink a regular Coke once in a while if I feel the need to drink a soda.

Absolutely.  They're so sickeningly sweet that it's instant gag response.  If they would only back off on the level of sweetness, they might be tolerable.  I just drink naturally flavored seltzer water(Polar brand) which satisfies my love for carbonation without any sugar involved.

Sign the top two available TOR starting pitchers. Work the rest out.

HA HA HA HA HA HA. Yeah that's happening.

Not getting the point of your post.

Your suggestion was even more farfetched than the one you ridiculed.

Completely revamp how they prepare pitchers in the farm system for the major league level. Pretty clear they don't have a clue so far.

This is really it.

I really don't think it is.  JD wants them to revert to managing the staff like they did in the glory years.  That is not happening anywhere.

No one is throwing  250 innings anymore, let alone 300, and no one is staying in the game for 140 pitches.  To be clear, I think the game was better back then, but it is not going to be revisited.

As for whether they are developing pitchers, let's wait another year or two and see how the next batch of pitchers do.

I didn't see him say anything about innings. I have long had the belief that something is fundamentally broken with the way they set pitchers up for the majors. Too much failure with too many great prospects to conclude otherwise.

I think you can get a veteran catcher, Marcus Semien, Matt Carpenter, Andrew Heaney, Eduardo Rodriguez, throw $10M at the bullpen and keep payroll just at $100M, maybe it takes it a tad over.

And a 1000% hard pass on Wieters. I don’t want that bum in the same time zone as Adley, much less in the same club house.
