They traded Freddy Galvis. Did you expect Wander Franco?

No but I would have done that deal.
At least we did not get Julio Franco. He is probably almost as old as I am.

Knowing him, he's probably still playing somewhere.

I could see Burch being in Bowie before long. He isn't a prospect but apparently his stuff has ticked up over the pandemic year. 2022/2023's Jay Flaa.

Yeah, the return was fair for Galvis IMO.
Overall, pretty underwhelming deadline " wheeling and dealing" from Elias.
I think it was to be expected.
I'm glad Mancini wasn't dealt.

No but some prospect that is a tad closer to his league average age. I get its Galvis but do you think this is a return worth even bothering with?

I think they may have done this for Freddy’s behalf. He has history in Philly and it gives him a chance to play for a better team with a chance at the playoffs.
The thing that caught my eye, was we supposedly included money in the deal.

Yes. I'd rather have the 1% chance this guy turns into an average RP than Galvis for the remainder of this year.

Especially when Urias has clearly established himself as someone worthy of starting the rest of this year

Me too. I was having nightmares of him being traded for a 17 year old from the DR and a middle reliever.
