Rizer sounds like he is getting something going but at the risk of sounding like a broken record I have a hard time getting excited about a guy on track to make it to the majors by the time he is 26. I guess some guys just are slow to get it going?

With the lost year in 2020 and the fact that Rizer is never going to be predicted to be a major league regular (unless he forces the issue) I think it’s a good timeline for him.

Sounds like things at AAA are improving.

Shutout on the farm: Triple-A Norfolk beat Jacksonville 8-0 last night as Zac Lowther and Conner Greene teamed on a six-hitter. Lowther went the first four to lower his ERA to 5.28. Greene pitched the last five on three hits and is now 1-2 with a 6.30 ERA. Infielder Domingo Leyba, claimed on waivers from Arizona on June 4, is now 7-for-17 in four Norfolk games, with three homers and 10 RBIs. He went 3-for-5 last night with a three-run homer and RBI single. Norfolk has won 10 of 15 games to improve to 13-19.

A lot of struggles in that Aberdeen rotation/bullpen. Meanwhile, Adam Stauffer, Shelton Perkins, and Xavier Moore sit in Delmarva. All older arms who have earned a shot to showcase their stuff at the next level.

I watched quite a bit of minor league action last week, and I was a little worried, but your notes make me feel a little better. I was disappointed in some of more highly thought guys.
Henderson, and Bradish seem to be scuffling some, although I missed Bradish’s last game and I saw he had a pretty decent outing.
