Yeah Bos has ate his lunch for the most part.  Very interested to keep an eye on Bradish.

My tinfoil hat guess is BOS has found a tell in terms of which pitch he’s about to throw, and aren’t sharing it around the league. SSS and all that though.

Gutsy performance tonight. Not great by any means but kept them in it. Especially when considering who he was facing.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I am looking forward to seeing Bradish step up today and go deep into the game.  These are the top of games that elevate players.  Let's go Kyle.

Not sure if he's done or if he'll get another start on Sunday, but Bradish currently has a 2.86 ERA.  Only 166 innings, but that's enough to qualify, which makes Bradish's season (if it is over) the 3rd best ERA by a qualified O's starter since the '83 World Series.  Only Boddicker in '84 and Moose in '92 were better.  Both those guys finished top-5 in AL Cy Young voting.  Will be real interesting to see where Bradish finishes.  He's got the 3rd best ERA and 5th best FIP, but by far the fewest innings of any top AL starter.

One early season line drive off the foot away from a top 2-3 finish? Either way 👏

I think the only reason to pitch him Sunday is if he wants to keep on rotation given that the O's will have a bunch of days off to rest. He might not want to spend that much time away from pitching?

This is what I'm thinking.  Let him go throw 60-75 pitches.  Then he'll be on 5 days rest for Game 1 on Saturday.

As long as the division is clinched, I think Bradish throws 1 or 2 innings on Sunday.  My guess is they try to get a number of guys an inning, so as not to have anyone go 10 days between pitching.

Bradish's numbers scream Ace.  Had the Oriole's bats given him better run production early in the year, he would be very much in the running for the CY Young Award.  Kyle has a chance to show the baseball world just how good he is, in the post season.

I agree. A couple of innings to keep him in rhythm sounds like a good plan. Probably the same with Gibson if we've clinched and just the opposite with Means who needs the innings. The stars are aligning. Every Cinderella story needs a miracle.

Is Britton the last guy to finish top-5 for the O's?  Bedard before that?

Terrific year for Kyle.  Also not sure if this tracks but felt that he pitched really well in big games.  Excited to see what he can do next year.

4 of the 6 months he had an ERA under 3.00. June was 3.54. April they only struggle at 6.14.

From July on he lowwred his ERA and WHIP each month.

July: 2.25, 1.031
Aug: 2.12, 0.98
Sept: 2.06, 0.80

If we go strictly by ERA+ Bedard matched him in 2007. The laat time his season was topped was Mussina back in the strike shortened '94 season. He had a 164 ERA+ that year. From strictly an ERA+ perspective Im guessing its a top 10 season of all time. Will go check some of the other years from older pitchers

Not top-five, but Jim Johnson was seventh in the AL Cy Young balloting in 2012.

Here's what the Sun had to say:

Bradish, a 27-year-old right-hander, is the first Orioles starter to appear on multiple BBWAA ballots since Hall of Famer Mike Mussina finished second in 1999. With a single third-place vote in 2007, Erik Bedard tied for fifth, while closer Zack Britton also came in fourth in 2016. An Oriole hasn’t won the award since Steve Stone in 1980.
