Its good to see for sure. I am sure most have their doubts he can keep it up but perhaps he has figured out something to at least give the O's a chance when he starts. If he could be just fair the last half it would be great.

No love for Harvey after his second consecutive quality start? Happy for the guy after his struggles this year.
He took the heat with class, when he was getting rocked, so yes, he deserves credit for 2 really good games.

It is probably doubtful whether Harvey can make it back to where he is a good major league starter again, but #1 he makes it easy to root for him, because he seems to get it and seems to be a good veteran who sends the right message to his younger team mates. Second, he still has enough juice in the arm, that gives him a chance to return to better days.
He hits 93-95 on his fastball and occasionally like last night touches 96.

PTBNL + Drew Mendoza. Was 3rd round pick in 2019, Nats #17 per FanGraphs. Hasn’t really hit as a pro, big raw power.

What a strange lie for someone to make up.
Exactly!

I'd guess they're just glad they can keep using him for this season to log innings.

Nats fans here around DC like to talk shit. They make fun of the pitching especially, and Harvey. So it was likely just a troll job. Nats fans, for having a World Series in recent memory, sure seem to be hyper focused on the Orioles still. Kinda crazy.

This weekend was my World Series. I wear it all the time anyway, but I'll be wearing my O's gear extra proudly tomorrow. If the Nats end up not making the playoffs, I'll hold onto this weekend as the reason why, rational or not. F them.

Here is hoping that that the sweep keeps the Nats out of the playoffs.

So do we have any sort of explanation about the 18+ scoreless innings? Or do we just go with the flow — like when a girl out of our league somehow tolerates us…?

He had a brief run of good early in the year. His control on this run has been excellent. If that keeps up, maybe he can continue pitching well.
Harvey has been a stand up guy all year, so it is easy to root for him.
