This might be some of the worst HRD coverage I’ve ever seen. It’s probably hard in the truck to go from one camera to the next with the quick pitches. But they are definitely missing some showing a kid fielding a grounder for too long. Lacking relevant replays too. Like to have seen that 518’ shot from Story. But they showed one that wasn’t that one. Statcast edition is worse. Some shots are real-time exit velos and launch angles without showing where the ball went. Seen the little blip with the distance on about 4 of like 100 balls hit.

Oh well. Give em’ hell Trey!

Yeah this is definitely worse than the 10 outs or 20 swings or whatever per round version.

Are these guys gassed in round 2 because the thin air? Well, everyone but Alonso.

Will say I loved the move to the clock format making buzzer beaters a thing. But I think they need a combo of both the old way and new way. 5 outs, so they can pick out some good ones. Then one minute no timeout. Don’t need to waste time watching dude drink a Gatorade mid turn.

Alonso looks like a tough out for Mancini. Put up a good number Trey!

Honestly, just being there is a tremendous achievement when last year at this time he was battling cancer.

Great job by Mancini from what I saw, but they really need to shorten the derby.  I watched him win the second round, but wasn't going to stay up another hour to watch the rest.

Agreed, if it weren't Trey, I would have shut it off much earlier.

Two steps forward, one step back from Manfred.  Which, frankly, is better than he usually does.

7 inning DHs need to go. Im against banning the shift. Extra innings Im ok with them starting with a man on 2nd in say the 12th inning. Ill be honest, I dont hate that one as much as I thought I would but shouldn't be to start the 10th inning. Also, obviously, never in the playoffs.

I am with you on all of this.

7 inning doubleheaders are ridiculous.

NCAA plays a 9 and a seven.( At the D3 level at least.)

I think the twelth inning is a good time to put the runner on.

Banning the shift is stupid.

The hitters need to adjust.

I honestly stopped reading when he talked about banning the shift to " restore the game."

I guess the Commish never heard of the Ted Williams shift?

That guy is such a joke.

Do they think banning the shift will make players stop trying to hit over the shift? Because I don’t see hitters changing their approach, ever, in this launch angle bonanza. Guys that hit 5-8 homers can now hit 20. They aren’t gonna be like, “let me go back to hitting singles again”.

It's an overreaction to offense being down. He wants to appear that he is doing something. He should leave well enough alone, but he won't.

I assume they think it'll led to more of the balls in play becoming hits. I doubt they want to do anything that'll reduce home runs.

Who thought it was a good idea to have the AL play in their pajamas.  Damn, they are ugly.
