Finally got around to watching this season and I thought it was really good.

I didn't mind the slow pace and anti-climatic nature of the finale either.  Heck, 4 seasons in and we still got some good backstory on Carrie.  It was almost nice to take a step back after those few crazy episodes leading up to the finale.

I've gotten tired of, seemingly, every show pulling the "OMG" cliffhanger and plot twist in finales.  Yes, I understand that's the nature of the business and has been going on forever but you know what really brings viewers back?  Good writing, good story-telling, good characters, good character development, good storylines.  And Homeland was bordering on par to sub-par levels of those traits in Season 3.

Plus, the finale did leave enough things up in the air so they some good things to delve into in Season 5.

It's been alright so far, this show just doesn't know who it wants to be.

Yet another season's plot centering around crazy Carrie off her meds. Shocker.

I'm kind of ready for them to kill off Carrie and let Quinn and Saul be the leads.  We've talked of this before but there is so much potential for the show but they don't get it.

I'd say yes.  I've thoroughly enjoyed this season.  Can't wait for Saul to get that one woman's purse and burn her ass to the ground.  I dunno who I loathe more; her or that SJW-reporter?

Best season since Year 1?

Nah.  The first two seasons were the best.

The only real "bad" season was the one where Brodie basically had to infiltrate the Iranian gov't.

I'm not sure how I feel about this show now. The first season had an amazing premise. After the second season the show has evolved completely. I kind of wish they would go back to their CIA/espionage roots. That's what made it interesting for me. Now it seems like another crime based drama to me.
