I really don't think the criticism has been that bad. I do think Elias has made his first bold move since he has been here. Bold doesn't mean good or bad, but Mike the "numbers man", put himself front and center for the first time since he has been here.
I am not on twitter. I wind up reading some twitter because people post links.
I feel like there's nearly zero outrage over anything the Orioles have or haven't done.
You aren't going to have a draft that everyone agrees on (hell, look at the Ravens draft, I thought they killed it and you still have many that lament decisions in it).
If you think the Orioles are (or have been) "sooo cheap" in the Amateur draft, then you either: 1) don't know the facts or 2) don't understand the facts. Either way, you've identified yourself as an ignorant person.
If you don't like the draft, that's a different issue, it has nothing to do with being cheap.
What's the point of calling out idiots on twitter? It feels like when you take on the 0%, it says more about you than them.
If you think the Orioles (organizationally) are soo cheap, then you can support that with facts. We'd have to have a larger discussion about whatever drives that. If you think the Angeloses only care about money, they are doing a terrible job because they could make a lot more money.
What they've spent in the draft has nothing to do with being cheap. That doesn't mean they are aggressive....they aren't that either.
