They cant slowplay things if the guys are killing it. Say for example Henderson is rakes at Delmarva and Aberdeen this year. He would start next year at AA and with more good play would get a call up in Sept.
The fear, for me at least, is Elias trying to drag this rebuild on and get a free pass in the standings for as long as possible. I don't see any benefit of being at a level where you're not challenged.

I'll be surprised if we see September callups of any top prospect until the team is good and needs to win those September games. Same goes for early April. Elias is going to game the service time of all of these guys. I'm hoping only for gaining a service year and not also to avoid Super-2 status, but that may be case by case.
Obviously if the CBA changes then this could change.

Yes the CBA could change things. Hope it does. I absolutely believe Elias would get the extra year but in my example it would be at the start of the '23 season. If Henderson earned a cup of coffee at the end of '22 they would give it to him and then promote him in May of '23 for good. Overall point is that these guys can force their way ahead of Elias's clock assuming he is trying to slowplay things. Which I don't think he is.I'll be surprised if we see September callups of any top prospect until the team is good and needs to win those September games. Same goes for early April. Jordan Westburg talks hitting - https://blogs.fangra...-talks-hitting/
He's currently on a 6-game hitting streak with 2 hits in each of his last 5 games.

I thought this was an excellent interview. He gives really good insight into his plate approach.

I like that Westburg and Henderson are competiting against each other. Competition and success builds confidence and hard work.

Was murdering Low A, High A has been an adjustment. (It's 27 ab's, so whatever.) I expect he'll start lighting up Aberdeen soon.

Aberdeen has historically not been a great hitters park. Im assuming that's still the case.
Correct.

Coach Eller will get him rolling. He's a good guy and a good coach.

BTW, Mundy continues to rake at Aberdeen. Probably time for him and Bronovich to get their own threads here.

MASN: Jordan Westburg settles in at Aberdeen
It would be nice to have a home grown left side of an infield, circa 2023.
