Any updates on Westy? Our D has gone in the toilet without him and miss his bat.
He's kind of the same as Rodriguez - they hope he'll be back, but it's unclear if that's based on any kind of medical opinion, or if it's just hope. I mean, I hope I win the lottery.

No report of him having to have had surgery, right? I think without needing surgery it seems likely he'll be back in late September. Could take longer but that'd be 8 solid weeks.

They signed Jean Segura. He was pretty bad with Miami this year but he's been very good up until then.
Not sure what his defense is like. 108 career games at 3B.

Bad with Miami was last year. He hasn't played anywhere at all this year. I don't think this means anything for Westburg's prognosis, just a free lottery ticket and there is space in Bowie & Norfolk. They signed Jean Segura. This is from Wednesday. Not really any info but seems like no surgery, just need to wait for it to heal.

Don't like the sliding goalpost for Coulombe. Guess they never said when in September way back.
My impression was that it was more early than late but maybe just got that in my head?

That's my impression too.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

IIRC, Columbe was estimated to being early September. Whatever the ETA is, he has been sorely missed.

The Soto trade concerns me in regards to Coloumbe returning this year. We can hope but of the 3 big guys out right now that could return (GRod, Westy) he's the one I find least likely.

I agree. I think Westy is most likely to return, GRod second, and Coulombe last.

Tomorrow is 5 weeks. Usually you hear 6-8 weeks for fractures that don't need surgery. Seems like he's on pace. Earlier he can get back to de-rust the better. Norfolk season ends on the 20th if he needs rehab assignment.

Keep the positive news rolling. Knock on wood it seems like they are setting up to have a lot of their guys back for the playoffs

As I said previously. Certainly getting GRod back would be big. As would Coulombe. But I think Westburg coming back could be the biggest boost of all. Improves our infield D, improves our offense, and gives us more flexibility in the infield.
