Plus Buck gifted him that moment in his last Yankee Stadium at bat. Giving away a win while the Os were in a playoff race.

It would have been an all-time great moment if Buck had intentionally walked him.

Not a Jeter hater, but actually saw an article today saying he was underrated. And that made me laugh.

Bobby Abreu stays on the ballot with 5.5%!

He needs more love next year!

Congrats to Walker. He was always someone I went back and forth on, so I'm fine with his selection.

Out of those that didn't make it, the top 3 vote getters certainly deserve it.

I don't get the love for Vizquel at all.

Rolen is the great defensive infielder whom should make it.

The idea that Vizquel has 17% more of the vote than Rolen is a joke.

Weber’s post on Jeter is spot on. If you care about unanimous and what it means, Jeter shouldn’t get it. OTOH, he’s obviously a HOFer.

Happy for Walker that he got in. Do believe he has a borderline case but I think he is more deserving than not.

Of course I want to see Bonds and Clemens get in but would like to see Rolen and Schilling as well.

Only reason Schilling isn’t in is because of his politics and stuff he has talked about socially and that is, of course, total bs.

Schilling deserves to be in, but it's really pretty dumb to tweet about how all reporters should be killed, when reporters were like a month away from filling out their HOF ballots.

I know the BBWAA is hesitant to put Relievers in the HOF.  But If Hoffman got in the HOF, Billy Wagner should be in there too.

2 votes for Cliff Lee?

He was so good for a solid stretch.

Not saying he was a HOFer but do think he warrants more of a look than that.

Walker deserved it. The Coors effect is real but its overblown. He was still a great hitter at 38 once he got to St Louis. Was also a very good hitter early in his career in Montreal. Just look at his wRC+ or OPS+. Solid defender for part of his career. If he could've transitioned to DH at some point he probably would have been an 80 WAR guy. IMO closer to a lock than a final ballot, sneak in by the skin of your teeth guy.

Rolen is in the same boat as Walker in a lot of ways. He'll probably have to wait and sweat out his final year of eligibility but he deserves better.

Obviously Jeter is a HOF but Im glad someone left him off his ballot. I couldn't have taken two Yankees in back to back years being the first two unanimously. Especially Jeter, when so many other position players and SS before him were better players. At least Mo was clearly the GOAT RP.
