Todd Helton, Hall of Famer? Thoughts?
BaltBird pointed out the dramatic splits in a game thread the other day:
Helton is very much a product of Coors Field and mostly pre-humidor Coors.
.343/ .443/ .606 at Coors
.288/ .387/ .471 away

The "Toddfather" just hit a home run in his last home game at Coors.
How effing cool is Baseball?

The Red Sox did the honors by reminding him of the 2007 WS outcome... despite the Rox losing the WS in 4, that was one of the coolest things IMO in sports their September/October run. I'll never forget it since I was in Colorado at the time.

So on Twitter, they were doing the state of Colorado Mount Rushmore. There's only one no-brainer and that is John Elway. My other ones would include Bill McCartney (won the only nat'l championship), Chauncey Billups (played both high school/college hoops in the state), and Joe Sakic (figured someone from the Avs had to be there since they've won a few SC's). Many thought Helton should be included. I disagreed since he's not a HOFer. But he has a case, played his whole career with the Rockies, he's Mr. Rockie on a team that doesn't have a lot of tradition and is relatively new.

Denver Post: Rockies reveal how "LoDo" they can go with Coors Field rooftop deck
http://www.denverpos...pper-deck-right
Not quite what the O's did, but it's a similar concept. No reason you need 50k seats most nights, so lower it and add amenities. Coors was only supposed to be around 43k in the first place, they added more seats because of how well they were doing at Mile High.
And for some laughs...
@EricGoodman With #Rockies Monfort spending all that money on a party deck.. He should name it after himself & call it the "Party Dick"

I LOVE their offseason so far. They're not done, still looking for some bullpen depth.
Sleeper team big time out West in 2014.

@jonmorosi Boone Logan and Rockies have reached agreement on 3-year, $16.5 million deal, source confirms @JonHeymanCBS report.
I don't think he's getting overpaid, just don't see the need to give him three years.

I guess to bring pitchers there, they need to give in a little to guys' demands.
More importantly, I continue to like what they've done this offseason.

Yeah that's true to Coors Canaveral. I'd like to think there's some guys in the farm system who can do the same thing at much less cost.
You are more positive than most Rox fans I know. But then again, every team's fanbase seems to hate what their team does for the most part.

He's also the most positive O's fan you know, so there's a theme here.
