I mean, if you don’t see the over analysis, I don’t know what to tell you.
People live and breathe off of what these movies are doing (or not doing).
I see what you're talking about. I think that's happening because these 3 movies are a continuation of the Skywalker storyline. People are use to obsessively nitpicking SW movies. When Rian whoever makes his new trilogy, I suspect that will die down.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

People over analyzed Game of Thrones. I just don't see it with SW but maybe I'm not reading enough SW theories or something. There's not enough mystery to really do that with. I'm curious to see who Rey's parents are, if they're anyone important. The only real surprise that would pay off in any fashion is if she IS a Skywalker, and even that would not be surprising at this point. It's kind of expected.
Anyway, I am excited to see how it all ends. I think the trailer is great.

Apparently there have been elements in each (including Rogue One, and Solo) which will be part of the SW9 story.

I'm afraid we've reached the SW saturation point. The Mandalorian looks like a cool show but I don't see the need for two additional SW shows on top of that, and two trilogies to run in theaters beside it. Not to mention whatever Star Wars Story movies they continue to churn out.

I know of 4 billion reasons why Disney is milking the franchise to death...

Is that Anakin's midichlorian count?

Binge Mode on The Ringer is doing a deep dive on Star Wars content leading up to Episode IX. Some entertaining content worth checking out if anyone is interested.

There are currently no Star Wars movies in development so I guess the soonest we'll get another one after Episode IX is 2022? But I definitely hear you. Interested in The Mandalorian, not so much the Obi Wan series.

Trying to see it in IMAX on Thursday at 6 p.m. I'm surprised there's tickets available.

Reviews so far aren't very good.
Based on comments Abrams has made this Fall and how the Reviews have been worded I feel like I have a pretty good idea of how this movie is going to play out. I'm still excited to see it on the big screen but I'm not so sure it will be one of my favorites. I am trying to keep an open mind about it though.

Yeah. Sounds like it'll be lots of fan service after TLJ divided audiences. I loved TLJ though and hope that ROS continues to subvert SW tropes but I know it won't.

Going tomorrow night. Re-watched Last Jedi yesterday. Was better than I remember but I still hate whiny Skywalker.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

That's basically his defining character trait up through the Vader fight in Empire. It shouldn't be at all surprising that he would revert after years in isolation.

Same. No longer excited after seeing the reactions. Maybe lowered expectations will be a good thing.

I’ll start a spoiler thread tomorrow to discuss some more. Seeing it again tomorrow too.
