I said when they sent him down, that he would be back and he would be good.  My apologies, what I should have said, is he would be back a back and he would be an ACE!

What a Big Time Performance on Saturday night.

Bradish is the game 1 starter but G-Rod has got to be game 2 at this point.

Amazing what a different pitcher he is since he was sent down and called back up. No idea what they did with him but the results are stunning.

Same exact thing happened with Bradish in 2022. Cade Povich, you're next!

I’ve seen people who don’t think his 2nd half was completely real, this article explains why it was (mechanical change to improve fastball, regaining feel for his 70 grade change)

Ive said there was some smoke and mirrors in the 2nd half and for me it mostly had to do with the command. There is no doubt he made some positive changes though. I've said I expect him to at least be a good mid rotation arm this year, IM just skeptical he makes the jump to TOR stud. Before Bradish got hurt I wouldve bet on Bradish again having the better year. I think Kyle has pretty much maxed himself out as far as his potential. GRod could take it to an even higher level. Potential to be a top 5 guy in all of baseball if he maxes himself out.

Command concerns are fair, hopefully that article is right and the release point tweak makes it a non issue.

His mechanics seem out of whack so far this spring. Hopefully, he and French went to the video to straighten it out. Hoping for a solid outing today with good stuff and good command.

Grayson Rodriguez says shoulder feels much better. He’s playing catch. Hopes to be reinstated when eligible. #orioles

Grayson Rodriguez threw about 30 pitches today in bullpen. Said felt great. Expects to have another session soon #orioles.

Awesome.  Rotation is going to be insane the rest of this season.  Always some risk of injury or underperformance, but the depth is impressive.  I'd go to a six-man when Grayson gets back.  I'm usually very against that, but with only there off days through the end of June and how well Irvin has pitched lately, I think it's the right choice.

Fix the bullpen and all systems go.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I get the rest but us humans are creatures of habit. Do they pitch as well (or better) with the extra day between starts or does it mess with them? Also where we need help is in the bullpen. Using 6 starters isn't the best way to improve the pen.

We've had something like 7 off days the first 6 weeks or so (I counted before but can't remember). Rotation has been great, with days of rest consistently being inconsistent. I agree that's a factor to consider, and Burnes is the one guy I'd move around to be on 4 days rest as much as possible (to have him pitch more and to keep him comfortable), but the younger guys I think can benefit from more time.

Every time I see a pitcher's name at the top of this forum I hold my breath.
