At least Walt Bell is excited.

Which of these recruits could we expect to see on the field immediately?

And which current freshman or redshirts profile as guys who will get some run next season?

I'd say any of the RB's considering the current backfield situation.

Hearing tons of stuff about Hall -- apparently the Testudo Times reporter was originally headed to DeMatha for coverage is now going to Hall's school to due "new exciting" information.

Lol, this is absurd.

Good grief. This can't end soon enough. And yet I let myself get sucked into it every year.

Nothing on yet. ESPNU still showing the Under Armour game

Maybe Hall is being courteous to his (hopefully) future coach Durkin, who is holding his signing day presser right now?

No MD hat on the table, just a shoe. Hall will look silly trying to put that on, so I'm guessing it's Alabama.

EDIT: And Alabama it is.

So that ought to be a wrap. As of now it looks like MD signed the #42 class in the country, #7 in the Big Ten (per 247 Sports).

Can't say I was expecting Hall... but sure was hoping. Tisdale was a nice pickup.

Apparently Tisdale was "silently" committed to the Terps for a couple weeks. But he had offers from Florida, Miami, OSU (ha ha), and S Carolina. That's a good group to beat out, especially for an out-of-state kid.

Did nice work in Florida...  good job for the new staff with this class... looking forward to this time next year with the '17 Class, as this staff has a full year to get after guys.

Definitely some obvious local names I wish MD had landed with this class, but I feel pretty good about the players who did choose to be Terps.

Secondary got an infusion of talent... RB too...  and most importantly MD really should have a high quality O-line over the next few years.

Hopefully Durkin and staff can coach 'em up.

Definitely good to see -- all things considered.  Agree with Stoner, give Durkin et al a full year to recruit and see what happens.

Cautiously optimistic.

They got two of the Top 10 players in MD, three of the Top 15. Looking at it in a vacuum that's about as good as they've always done in the past, which isn't very good....but the circumstances this time make it different of course. I don't know how the 2017 local class rates, but obviously this was a year you'd like to have gotten more....we can only wonder "what if" MD had made the coaching change a year ago when it was pretty obvious it was time, and a new staff would have had a full year to recruit. Of course the flip side is you don't know who that staff would have been, since several of the current assistants still had HC jobs and who knows if Durkin would have been on the radar at this point.

It's great Durkin was able to leverage his FL ties to get some good players there this year. But going forward I wouldn't want to have to rely on getting your top players out of there consistently. Best to do that locally if you have that caliber of talent nearby, which MD usually does, then fill in your class from outside the area.

It stinks that another local kid choose the bright lights of Alabama, but  I think Durkin and the gang did well.  Let's be excited about the kids who want to be Terps, rather than lament the kids that went elsewhere.

Go Terps.

Speaking of which... I don't follow the scene too closely. Did Terps fans make us look horrible when Haskins committed to OSU?

I would imagine it was no better or no worse than other school's fans react when something similar happens. The response of some wasn't flattering at all. I do think Haskins' Twitter activity throughout the process made the backlash worse than it would have been otherwise, but many kids are gonna do immature stuff, gotta block it out and move on.

I don't care.
