That would explain why Pigrome's suddenly gone silent after tweeting all about his visit over the weekend. Was hoping he was simply contemplating things and waiting to announce during the signing day hoopla. If he is unable to qualify I hope he decides to do prep school and sign with MD next year rather than go to *shudder* Virginia Tech.

Good News. Like I said, Durkin is trying to catch up with 2 minutes left to go in the game, but he is working hard and making progress.
Frankly, he gets graded on a big old curve, this year.
Yeah. As far as overall in the state of MD the Terps won't end up doing all that well in what was a talented class. But when you put it in perspective the new staff only lost 2 major in-state commitments, but also picked up one in Terrence Davis. Plus you might as well consider DC as being "in-state" where they added Merritt, have a 50-50 shot at Hall, and still an outside chance at Hansford. That's not bad at all under the circumstances.

I would guess he goes to prep. Just a guess though.
It was back in the Friedgen days, but I recall a couple of his recruits that didn't get admitted to MD ended up at VT. So I guess their admission standards, at least for football players, aren't quite as tough. As long as Pigrome qualifies in the eyes of the NCAA it might be tough to convince him to go to prep school vs. somewhere else that will take him.

No, he seemingly has worked his tail off. Not much more you can ask than that.
Better days are coming. People need to realize, the obstacles he is facing and give him some time to reload or in Maryland's case, load.

Terrell Hall will announce his decision Wednesday at 2:15 ET on ESPNU, for those who are inclined. He lists Alabama, FSU, MD and Ole Miss as his choices. But everything I've heard says it's pretty much Alabama or the Terps, and he's given little to no indication of which way he might lean.

Alabama or Md....the choice between playing quickly or maybe winning a National Title or two.

Only played 1 season of HS football. Recorded 19 (nineteen!) sacks, against high-level competition in Florida. Put him in the weight room/training table for a year to add 30 lbs, teach him a few moves, and then watch.

I liked Andrew's idea of moving him to OLB.

If they are switching back to a 3-4 then I agree. But he looks like a natural pass rusher to me, not sure how he'd do in coverage. You could use him early just in pass-rush situations from anywhere until he grows and develops, and then take it from there. I really like his potential and am glad they got him.
