WR Jalen Browder makes it official. He has a chance to crack the depth chart, but may very well redshirt this season.

DL Cam Spence makes it official. He'll compete for immediate playing time on the interior of the defensive line.

LB Ayinde Eley makes it official. He'll likely redshirt this season, but is a nice linebacker/safety hybrid who should fit in well on the weak side for the Terps.

WR M.J. Jarrell makes it official. He has a chance to crack the depth chart at slot receiver, but may very well end up redshirting this season.

Do these guys seriously have to fax in their letters of intent or was that just a turn of phrase?

These kids are 17 or 18 years old, how many even know what a fax machine is!

"What's a fax machine?"

"It's like a printer but instead it sends your LOI to the school over the landline"

"What's a printer?...and what's a landline?"

WR Jayden Comma faxes in his LOI (yes, they do still fax them in). He has a chance to make an immediate impact at WR.

I really like Jayden Comma. He has good size and speed, and he can block, which is important in Walt Bell's system. I think he sees a lot of time as a true freshman.

Be great if McLean is ready to do something this year, and Spence and the bigger Gaddy can produce some immediately. Probably a tough ask.

They have a lot of bodies at DT and NT. Should be able to get a decent rotation going. Walker, Opara, McLean, Howard all coming back.

Agreed. One thing that Durkin did was go get some tall WRs, which the team was lacking. Plenty of that in this year's class.

I've got Comma penciled in as the backup Flanker to Taivon Jacobs.

Speaking of tall WRs, Carlos Carriere (6'4") makes it official. He could also get early playing time, I've got him as the third-string Flanker behind Jacobs and Comma.

DL Breyon Gaddy makes it official. He probably slots in at NT, where he'll get a chance to compete for immediate playing time with Cam Spence and Kingsley Opara.

DL Brandon Gaddy also makes it official. He probably fits in at DT, since he's a bit smaller than his twin brother.

One service has him in the 260s, another has him 290ish... some mention of him getting time at end.

In a 3-4 set, maybe. But he should play well inside in the 4-3. Terps have more of a need on the inside than the outside, this would allow a guy like Brett Kulka to move back outside.

FWIW, Terps have him at 320 officially. 5 pounds heavier than his brother, interestingly enough.

No way he's even near 320 now, but after a few months of food and lifting in a college program he could be somewhere close to there

Unless he's moving to NT, I'd rather him stay under 300. Retain that quickness.

Quite a few analysts switching their prediction for Castro-Fields from Penn State to Maryland.

Crystal Ball has Terps at 55%, PSU at 36%: http://247sports.com...ro-Fields-85405
