Any way we can get the Pope to come bless this football team before he dips out of the country?

And another penalty.

All I wanted today was for MD to look like they belonged on the field, and to not shoot themselves in the foot immediately. Prolong the game.

You really won't convince me that there is a huge talent difference... not as the score would indicate.

It's coaching more than anything to me.

That includes the time you spent with Hills starting Games 1 and 2, giving Rowe and the WR's less time to build up.  Or going with Minter early, and having Prince's first start come on the road in Morgantown vs. at home in College Park.

Worst quarter of the season by far. Nothing went right. Will they respond at all?

Deep down, we all know the answer.

2 years? I don't think I can take 2 more weeks of this. How many more nails do we need in Edsall's coffin?

Talent and experience wise, I think MD is 2 years away from having a good starting line-up.  Depth still needs work.

I think the onfield results this year (particularly the Bowling Green game)... might force a change.  Would suck if a change was made and it impacted the class though.

WVU misses a 51 yard FGA.   MD has good field position, early 2nd.    Need points, and possession.

Touchdown here would be a step in the right direction. Still plenty of time. I know, I'm overly optimistic. I love this team too much to give up.

And it's not like Holgorsen is some kind of genius. He's okay, but I don't think he's anything special. But he can certainly coach circles around Edsall.

Next week's opponent, Michigan, beat a ranked BYU team today 31-0. Good times ahead.

Really is one thing to not have the line play currently to compete at all with Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin.

Unable to compete with WVU is something else.

3rd and 2... 41 yard TD WVU.... 28-0 after the xp.

Likely torched.

Fun game.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Edsall is going to be fired at the end of this year.  Might as well fire him now and give the 2016 recruits as much time as possible to know a change is coming.

If Edsall is back... a good incoming class is not going to be enough to sell any tickets.

Not trying to be condescending... but yeah you're too close to the situation to see it clearly. I can't blame you at all, that'd be hard to be overly critical of a good group of guys that you know better than most.

Yep, at least the arrow is pointing up. This is kind of how two or three of us felt about basketball a few years ago.

We just have to get this next hire right. The infrastructure is finally going to be there.

Fixed. And yes, things will get better for MD football. Too many resources. Just have to get rid of the worst coach ever. Certainly in my lifetime. The 90s were horrible and there were some bad coaches, but none of them had nearly the resources Edsall has now. MD football almost had to go down to 1-AA in the 90s.

Fixed.

Lol... 2 or 3 of you were more adamant about it... I was pretty negative about Turgeon a few years ago, we had some painful seasons. But I was still confident about the future of the program.

I'm sorry to say that at this point I'm rooting for anything that brings a quicker end to the Edsall era. It sucks for the players to essentially have to take the field each week with one arm tied behind their back due to coaching, but this looks like one of those things where it has to get worse before it can start to get better.

Yeah, fire him now. Make a statement. New Cole Field isn't open yet... the recruiting and talent isn't there yet... but regardless, we will no longer accept losing 28-0 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter against a good, but not great team. This just simply can't be acceptable if you're trying to get to the next level as a program. It starts with accountability. I don't care about the money. Make the move.
