Our smoke alarms go off anytime you even crack open the oven to check on what is cooking inside, and it scares the crap out of our cats.

Same thing at our house. My oven is squeaky clean but anytime I cook at a temperature higher than 400, the smoke detector goes off. So friggin aggravating.

My daughter got FIFA for the PS5 for Christmas and I have yet to beat her.  Okay I won one game (a late equalizer sent it to extra time), but I got lucky as it went to a shootout.  It's like that old episode of the Simpsons where Bart and Homer play video boxing all the time and Homer never wins.

I can get my kids every now and then in Madden or FIFA but they usually get me.

 

I can't hang with them in Fortnite.  Like they kill me before I even get a shot off.  Meanwhile if I'm lucky enough to spot them 1st and take a shot, they build a 3-story fortress in 2 seconds and then toy with me.

I canceled YouTube TV today because they are greedy and axed MLB Network.  Only thing I could do was sign up for Directv Steam because they have it and, bonus, they have MASN.

 

It took all of 30 minutes to remind me why they might be the worst company on the face of the Earth.  The incompetence knows no bounds.

Mine opens on the app and it tells me I cant watch Cinemax because I don’t have that as part of my package. Which is true. Then I open the guide, click a show, and the preview screen of the show pops up — then nothing else.

Oh and I can log in on fire stick but if I try to do it on my phone or tablet it tells me that my credentials are invalid.

Spent 45 mins on the phone with tech support and eventually was told they put in an “escalated ticket” and I should hear back in 1-2 business days. Lol. Worst company ever.

I *think* because my old user ID was also my former Directv satellite user ID there is something mucked up. I tried to explain that and was told the ticket is being escalated

My sister has DTV Stream. It's awful.

 

I'm still rocking the 15 year old dish version of DTV.

They are set to bill me April 3.  I will be calling them non stop April 2 if this isn't fixed.  I'll even go as far as to stop payment on the thing with my bank.  They won't get a dime from me if this is still broken (and I think it will be).

Somehow, as bad as DirecTV is, the MASN app (and trying to use it with a VPN) is miles upon miles worse.

Speeds are slower, apps barely work. Streaming companies making it more difficult and expensive to stream their shit.

It's hard for me to believe that the rec council doesn't have anyone to step in. I really hope that someone steps up for the kids.

I’m sorry to hear that. This is the line of work I’m in now. Running youth sports for the YMCA. As a non-profit we are reliant on parent volunteers to coach all of our teams. I appreciate all the ones that do it because it isn’t easy.

It’s amazing how many parents refuse to volunteer to coach, but end up are the loudest on the sidelines during games, or want to email me and criticize something.
