Padres another team I"m shocked didn't move anyone.
I saw that they apparently asked the Diamondbacks for Paul Goldschmidt in talks for Craig Kimbrel.
That's worth a slap to the head.

Oy. Really?
just saw that 29 of 30 teams were involved in the deadline, Arizona being the only idle team.

It really makes you wonder how people become GMs. I know that may sound dramatic but seriously, that is insane if it's true.
Btw, what a trading deadline this was.

I think that Goldschmidt rumor is either:
1. The Diamondbacks lying to pile on a division rival when they are down, or maybe to distract from their own inaction.
2. The Padres shooting in the dark that Arizona may be willing to make another mind-boggling stupid trade.
Both would be perfectly possible with both of those organizations.

Has anyone actually asked AJ Preller what sort of meds he is on?
That Justin Upton is still a Padre is comical.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Yeah, right now the Padres look like the organization everyone was claiming the Astros had turned into, only they aren't losing yet.
