The return on Britton will still be nice should we move hum but he's no longer in Andrew Miller value territoryI don't think bad half-seasons diminish the value of proven players all that much. It's why they still got a lot for Quintana, he's had an ERA between 3.20 and 3.51 and pitched over 200 innings the past four seasons. And his BB-rate, while high for him, is still only 3.5 this season.
It's also why Manny's value will remain sky high if we decide to move him. And why I think, as long as he shows he's healthy, we can get a ton for Britton as well.

I think Miller's extra year of control for much lower AAV is the main reason why he got more in return than I think Britton will. I think teams will knock just a touch off of Britton due to his injuries this year, but that's a much smaller factor than the contract status. Britton will have about 1 1/3 years left due a total of around $19M. Miller had 2 1/3 years left due a total of around $21M. Miller makes $9M a year, Britton will get $14-16M next year.

It wouldn't surprise me if his value isn't as high as Chapman's last year despite having an extra year of team control. I haven't looked closely enough at the return the Yanks got on Chapman to say that confidently though

I don't think they're trading him no matter what. I think he'd get a nice return but last year I remember people being surprised at just how good NY made out on the deals for their elite RPs. I'd be surprised if we got similar value. Again, I say that not remembering exactly what NY got in those deals.
Branden, I think you are going a little overboard on how much Britton's value has dropped and if has dropped, they aren't going to trade him.

Did they have Moises Alou hand it to him?

Did they have Moises Alou hand it to him?
Yeah, and they gave Alou a stepladder and butterfly net so he could reach Bartman.
