Knight pitching for Arkansas on ESPN, starting now.

Oregon State vs Arkansas for the championship. 3 game series starts Monday. I assume Blaine Knight will pitch game 1 for the Hogs.

Saw his first AB tonight..very long, loud out to deep center.

He really battled in the ninth too, fouled off a ton of pitches (in fairness, one should have been caught), but he was able to hit a solid single to tie it up when they were down to the last strike of their season. Oregon State then took the lead with a two run homer. Great stuff.

Wasn't watching, but I'm sitting in my home office next to an open window and heard a loud commotion from the house just down the street a while ago. Guessing that was the moment of Grenier's game-tying RBI....as just a couple minutes after that there was an even louder commotion.

You would never think a school like Oregon State would be among the powerhouses of college baseball. But like any sport at the college level, coaching makes a huge difference....and Pat Casey is as good as there is, no matter the sport. How they've kept him in Corvallis this long is beyond me. Rumor is Phil Knight actually helped out his in-state rival when Notre Dame tried to poach Casey a few years back.
