Not worried about first rehab start. Probably throwing all fastballs or something.
Glad he's back on the mound logging innings.

Ok lets assume this was like his first start in ST. I still would say yikes. That stat line is way beyond bad. Got put that one behind him and come out better next time out. We need him.

Figure he makes 5 starts down there at a minimum.
Just want to see him ramping up... innings increase, velo is consistent, and that he gets the feel for his change back.
Ready to go in the bigs by the start of May.

Means best days are behind him.
Still could be useful in majors but I don't think it's realistic to expect him to come back from TJ and now another injury, to be an effective SP in the majors.

Much better for Means tonight. 3IP, 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 ER, and 4Ks!

Means will be fine. He knows how to pitch. HRs will bite him at times. His ceiling is capped but his floor is relatively high. I think hes a LH version of Wells which we could use over Irvin in particular right now.
If he's not better than a "left handed Wells" then our rotation is in even bigger trouble that I thought.

Stop. Wells is a solid enough SP. We have real concerns with Irvin and possibly Kremer. Not Wells

I probably wasn't clear enough. I see Wells as a solid #4 or a decent #3. I think we need Means to be a solid #3 at least to make me feel better about this rotation. I don't trust Kremer and Irvin has no business being on a playoff caliber team that had both the financial and trade chip resources to do much better.
I am ok with Kremer as the end of the rotation.
Burnes, GRod, Bradish, Means, Kremer would be great.
Burnes, GRod, Means, Wells, Kremer would be ok until August unless Wells and trainers have figured something out.
But Burnes, GRod, Wells, Kremer, Irvin isn't going to cut it. Unless they can hold on till we call up Norfolk to hit in Baltimore.....LOL

3 innings, 61 pitches last night. Up from 50 and 32 the second and first times out. Probably still needs 3 more outings before he can get back. Would like to see the production ramp up for the final one or two rehab outings.
