From what my family members who live in Exton tell me they are trying to remain a winning team over the next few years in an attempt to land the next big TV contract. They are convinced they are the perfect fit since they are the biggest team on the East Coast and I guess their current contract runs out soon. They said that is why they won't rebuild.
Well, I hope those 75-win teams over the next four years give them a better deal than an actual rebuild.
They think they are the biggest team on the east coast?

Worded that wrong. They feel they are the biggest team without its own network.

Manuel out, Syndberg in. Funny that we were just talking about how no managers had been canned yet the other day.

Yeah I'm a little surprised they did it midseason. He didn't have a great roster to work with.

I agree with the people on your Twitter. Amaro is one of the worst GM's currently in the league.

If they like what they see, he will be the manager full time.

That's the basis of a rumored deal right now. No link because I'm on my phone, but it's not hard to find. The Phillies also signed Marlon Byrd today.

Anyone who has ever met or listened to Howard, knows that he is a windbag who constantly throws stuff against the wall to see what sticks. The Phillies seem like the old Orioles who would bring in aging players to join a group of aging players and then wonder why it does not work out.

How can Amaro still have a job? What a terrible deal for Philly.
