It's time to get serious.

O's and Yankees both won today and are tied for the AL East lead.

Red Sox have been playing great for a couple months now and are 6.5 back.

As far as the Wild Card is concerned, the Orioles or Yankees would have a four-game lead over the second Wild Card team, currently held by the Twins, who are a half a game ahead of the Royals.

Caesar's currently has the Yankees +240 and Orioles +350 to win the American League (next closest are Houston and Cleveland at +600).

They have the following odds for World Series winner:

  • Dodgers +300
  • Phillies +450
  • Yankees +550
  • Orioles +750
  • Braves +1100
  • Astros +1200
  • Guardians +1300
  • Twins +1600
  • Brewers +2000
  • Padres +2500
  • Mariners +2800

WhiteSox will tie the '88 Orioles for most AL losses in a row if they lose tomorrow.

For years, I never thought it was possible but I actually think the White Sox have a chance at the 1962 Mets 120 losses.

Yeah, but we did it to start the season so we've got that going for us.  :)

Yankees split a double header with the Angels while the Orioles came from behind to beat Toronto. They are now tied again atop the AL East.

Boston lost to KC to fall 1.5 GB of the Royals for the last WC spot.

I want Boston out.

I don’t think they’re good or anything but I want them out.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

100%. They’ve been on quite a tear. They’re 6 games back in the East. And they just took 2/3 from KC which is the team they’re chasing for the final WC spot. I don’t care for KC either TBH but never Boston.

Boston has a very good offense. Just like everyone else, their pitching is questionable.

Yankees split tonight with the Halos, while the Red Sox lost to Kansas City, 8-4.

These collapsing Orioles that have no shot of anything are now tied for the best record in baseball after last night.

How about that?

It seems our very own Orioles sent the Guardians into a minor tailspin of their own.

No dominant teams this year like the Braves/O’s last year. Just a lot of good teams. Especially in the AL (having the White Sox to beat up on helps).

NYY and Baltimore both lost tonight so they remain tied. Boston was idle. So were the relevant WC contenders, KC and Minnesota.

Volpe(eeee) may have an injured foot (left game after fouling a pitch off it).

He's overrated as hell, but they can't afford to lose him.

Orioles in Tampa while New York hosts a desperate Texas team. Boston hosts Houston, who is also fairly desperate. Minnesota hosts Cleveland while KC hosts STL.

Some great matchups this weekend. Things are heating up.

They haven't been playing all that great with Judge and Soto in the lineup every day. If they lose either or both for an extended period, the Yankees become a lousy team pretty quickly.

Yankees game was postponed while the Orioles won in Tampa, so therefore take a half game lead.

Boston is trailing Houston 5-3 at Fenway headed to the 8th.

KC is leading STL at home 5-3.

Minnesota is leading Cleveland 2-0.
