Well that sucks.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Disappointing start to the season last night.  They looked (at times) like they should have won that game, but they just couldn't hang on.  It would really have been impressive to open the season with a win over Miami without Beal/Nene.

Yea they were outgunned last night for sure.  Missing Nene and Blair (and of course Beal) really hurt their depth and rim-protection.  Still, gotta play better defense.  Chris Bosh apparently didn't want to miss last night, but there is no excuse to allow Norris Cole to drop 23 on you.

Hoping for a better result tonight in Orlando.

Did anyone watch the game?  Was that just terrible officiating or what?  The fouls on Porter, the offensive foul call on the Rice 3 point attempt.  What's the deal with leagues letting their officials ruin their sports (NBA, and NFL...sheesh).

That Wall 3 at the half was monster.  Loved what Porter did.  The refs really let the Magic back in a game they weren't really in.  Even in the first half, the FG% wasn't ever going to be sustainable for Orlando.

Even just watching what happened without Beal makes me really optimistic when he comes back.  Lots of open looks on the wings coming through Wall still.

Gortat playing well.  With Beal out, Wizards fans have to be encouraged that Porter Jr is showing life.

Had 21 vs. the Bucks, is averaging 12.7 through 3 games.

Agreed. Porter's definitely showing why he was such a high draft pick.

Yeah I figured a key to this year would be either him or Rice stepping up.

Dave McKenna is great.  Here's an article about Bullets/Wizards superfan/heckler Robin Ficker and his friendship with Muhhamad Ali.

Very nice win for them. Showed that they can find ways to win even when Gortat and Nene struggle. Gooden and Seraphin were huge.

Heading down to the phone booth tonight.  Excited to see them potentially start the year 4-1.

Gotta wonder how that game with Miami goes with Beal and Nene both playing.

Really came together as a team in the 3rd/4th quarters last night.  They are a lot of fun to watch.

Wall is going to be interesting to watch this year.  Glad to see his FG% is up overall even though his 3PT % is down early.  He doesn't seem to be hitting a crazy number of jumpers so far this year, so I think we could see a big jump for him.  But assists and points are up and that's without hitting any 3's really to this point.

Wall's doing a fantastic job running the offense so far. Really emerging as one of the NBA's elite point guards.
