It's safe to say Paredes is playing himself off the post season roster. Not that a couple good weeks at the plate should have been worth much, anyways, considering his track record.

Just put in Ron Flattery.
He can't play both 3B and 2B at the same time.... can he?

Nah he's still on because he is more useful than Berry, but he's losing a shot at playing time to Johnson for sure.

Biggio would likely have been a better SS than Jeter was.
Plus, even if he won GG's there, if the team said, "We want you to play somewhere else", Biggio would've said, "Sure thing, Skip"... just like he did after he won 4 GG's at 2B... where he had moved to after being an AS as a C...

I'm happy to let others argue about FO stuff and money, I really, really want Hardy to stay... they should not only keep him, they should also hire a chiropractor and massage therapist to follow him around 24/7....

Hardy k's, ending the O's 4th. Kuroda can be tough. He was pretty awesome against us in 2012.

The Os have looked terrible vs sliders lately.
It's the pitch that made Teddy Ballgame quit... according to him...
If that guy couldn't see the spin, nobody can...

If you can sign him to a 1 year deal with club option years, great.
Otherwise, it's so risky to give him a 3-5 year deal at his age, with his injury history and the current back issues.
Btw...I'm not convinced we see him much more between now and the playoffs...that turf in Toronto is so hard, I don't think Buck will want him out there.
He may DH but that's about it.

Well, I'm not good at (nor very interested in) playing GM... but I'd give him an almost-blank check for 3 years... if he wanted 4, I'd insist on chatting with him directly instead of talking to his dang agent...

I'd read an article comparing the two.
They were equally important to their teams, but let's face it....Cal never had a team around HIM like Jeter did for years and years.

Ripken was the better defender with more power. Jeter hit for a higher average and got on base more. He also stole some bases and then he had considerably more postseason success for whatever that is worth. Ripken also had the streak of course which does provide value and is obviously one of the more impressive accomplishments in modern sports.
I'd say Ripken is easily the better player, but I'm biased.
I'm biased for sure....Fuck Jeter! ha!
