But again, why would it make sense to post that in the third game thread of the year? That post makes sense before the season, it doesn't make sense to say it largely or even partially based on 3 games.

Not really. Yeah, its 3 games. So, what you throw out everything you see over a 3 game span.  When are you allowed to start connecting dots exactly. It would be one thing to get down on say Davis for his slow 3 games. It's different than expecting and not seeing much difference from a Markakis or Flaherty.

 

 

Red flags are red flags. Period. You don't need some arbitrary number of games or innings or whatever to start making observations.

 

 

Besides, as I mentioned in the game thread, this offense slowed down later in ST. The last two weeks or so. So, this isn't just 3 games anyway.

Ha. You're really using ST to justify overreacting to 3 games? Look, it's nice to see good signs in the first 3 games, and it's fine to react to how guys have looked so far, but some of this stuff is way over the top for watching 3 games (for those that have even watched all 3).

There has been nothing over the top except for in the moment emotions. 99% of the posters here and in any game thread in the world react in the moment emotionally.

 

 

 

People just don't get the point of game threads apparently. Whats worse though, is the people who are in the game threads and react emotionally but then jump on someone else for acting emotionally just because it's something they don't like hearing.

They are in mid-season form. The post-all-star break 2013 version. Too much all-or-nothing in this lineup. A good pitching staff like Boston's will keep them in check, no problem. And seeing Koji as Mr Unhittable in a Boston uni is gonna drive me insane.

Exactly. It's perfectly normal to get upset during games, but why would anyone consistently post ridiculous screaming overreactions as you call them when most of the other people on the board seem to think of those posts as such?
