Heard Passan on M&M this morning, reading his article now. Holy F---.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Ten years ago that would be considered relevant, professional commentary and that guys would be on Around the Horn the next day.

Thank god for the Internet.

Just brutal. I know the Red Sox have had a 'poor' season for their recent standards, but the tenor of that article is so poor. I don't expect Boston to turn it around this year, but frankly they are only 2 weeks of hot play from having a chance. Part of their collapse last September was all of the division games. With all of the division games this September, they would be capable of flipping things.

Agree with DJ, thanks for the internet.

As many you have noticed, I don't like to overvalue single games in baseball unless they truly are must wins. Well, symolically speaking, I think if the Red Sox lose this game tonight's it's a big deal. In getting swept by the Orioles in the position they are in.

95 Mariners anyone? At least that article isn't as bad as the "2011 Red Sox Will Be Better than the 1927 Yankees" article.

They aren't having nearly the bad season everyone is trying to make it out to be. The playoffs are a long-shot but not impossible. The team has talent.

By their standards this a terrible year since the last time they finished under 500, we were over 500. If we had their record, we'd be satsified with a shot to break 500, not as happy as we are now.

Looks like Crawford is ready to pack it in.

Bobby V after the season, but who knows maybe he doesn't make it that long.

Just saw this on MLB trade rumors.

Would the O's be interested? Would you be interested? What would it cost to get him?

I would certainly put a claim in on him. Far worse things than being stuck with that contract. I'm sure they'd pull him back, but would be interesting to see what their price for him would be.

The Dodgers attempted to deal for him before the deadline.

I would take him but you will have to trade a lot to get him.

If we get the claim they'll ask for the world and nothing will come of it.

Nothing to see here, IMO.

Agree with that. Highly unlikely they want to just dump the contract. But I would still claim him if he gets to us.

I would take him, but only if we also keep Chris Davis. That's one pitcher we don't need Adrian facing.
