Good luck with that back in the ALE.
Can't wait to watch him dominate Baltimore for the next 5 years.

Damn was hoping the Mets.
Agree that him going to the ALE will be harder for him obviously...but nice addition for Toronto.

Would have no issues if he was still an Oriole.
Toronto is building extended stability in their roster.

Yeah, I think a return to the AL east will be a little different than the NL west, but what do I know? He'll probably win 5 Cy Young awards.

I'm assuming Gausman is still basically a two pitch pitcher.... fastball with very little movement and splitter.

Never know but he just turned 30 starts between the shortened '20 season and 1st half of ''21 into 110 mil. Two years after being put on waivers by the Braves. Good for him but no one is fearing Gausman in the ALE

Since he is back in the East, obviously hope he implodes.

Think Stephen Matz range for what the Os will do in FA. Anyone think it would be wise to give Matz a contract this year. There is always Matz type talents in FA every class.
Doesn’t bode well for the Orioles spending hopes when we’re “within arms reach” when that’s the going rate for Kevin Gausman. Yeah, we all may know and understand current market prices in MLB, but to the Angelos family, I just can’t imagine them giving out $20+M to an arm ever.

Jays sign Kikuchi for 3/36.
Toronto has now locked in a top 4 for their rotation with
Ryu (2/40)
Berrios (7/131)
Kikuchi (3/36)
Gausman (5/110)
and a youngster like Alek Manoah filling out the back.

Matt Chapman traded to the Blue Jays.
RHP Gunnar Hoglund (#19 in 2021 draft) is the top piece going to Oakland. He was the Blue Jays #4 prospect according to MLB.com but not in their overall top-100. Hoglund was a very highly rated guy pre-draft but had Tommy John surgery in May prior to the draft so he slipped. Also got #9 prospect SS Kevin Smith, #27 prospect Zack Logue, and NR prospect Kirby Snead.

These are the external things that throw gasoline on the O's frustration fire. Watching division rivals improve themselves, while the O's smile and wave as FAs walk by
Good news! I saw a dog today.

The Jays and Yankees are really improving their teams. It is a scary thing that we play 76 games in the division.
