The Yankees are on Apple TV on Friday, and apparently their fans are horrified that Judge's 62nd home run might be called by Melanie Newman.

Is there an echo in here. :)

He'll get 350m, minimum. Steve Cohen will make sure the Yankees pay that much.

A potential Triple Crown in a walk year. Definitely the best of all worlds for Judge. It also doesn't hurt when you can compare yourself to Babe Ruth and Roger Maris.

Apparently Melanie Newman wasn't scheduled to be part of Friday's Apple TV broadcast, and the Yankees are trying to get Michael Kay into the booth.

Apple, YES talking Michael Kay trade amid Aaron Judge home run chase (nypost.com)

Melanie Newman seems OK doing post game stuff. I haven't listened to her much doing play by play, but the stuff I have heard is horrific.

What’s the angle here???

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Reverse Jinx. Been Martingale betting him to homer since the start of the O's series.

So I just profited $3!!!!

Good for Judge. Can he hit 12 more in 1.5 games to beat the real record?

Depends how much PEDs he's willing to inject into his body. But alas, he won't get that many at bats before the season ends.

So Judge 100% isn’t on PED’s you think?

Help me with that sentence, cuz it was bad.

Let me help you.

I don't put PEDs past any athlete in any sport. I think the likelihood of PEDs happening in the NFL is vastly more likely than MLB, but that's just me.

Aww, did my sentence structure strike a nerve with a little Yankees fan? You going to be okay?

Oh and thanks for that whataboutism to help me out, cleared everything right up.

I don't know if Sammy Sosa was on PEDs, but it is definitely more likely in professional bodybuilding than MLB. So there.

This morning, Buster Olney tried to make the case for this being the best single season anyone has ever had.

I haven't read whatever Olney said...

You'd at least have to ignore several of Ruth's and Bonds' to proclaim it the best. I can understand reasons for ignoring each, though I wouldn't. Ted Williams probably had better years. It is arguably better than any of Mantle's. Aaron and Mays too, they were more about long term sustained excellence (though obviously had wonderful single years too).

It's undoubtably a great year.

Is Judge a 5 tool player

Mays was very much a 5 tool player, just take a look at May's seasonal and career WAR is offs the charts.

Some can legit argue that Mays might just be the best all around player to have played the game.

You can not say that about Judge.

He was on Get Up...  crux of his argument was Non PED, regularly tested, hitting has never been harder than right now....  given his production vs. the rest of the league,  this is the best season ever.
