Anyone notice that Texas has put up 18 in Fenway tonight?
Great stuff.
Bobby V's post-game should be fun.

Patton is another guy to feel good for. Once uber prospect...age 21 goes from AA, to AAA, to the bigs in the same season. Wonder where he would have been had he not had the labrum injury. Good for him battling back.
Absolutely. I will remain to be a big fan of Patton, and I hope he works out well in our bullpen this year.

If not, this is a big save opportunity for JJ early in the year. Team is on a roll. Playing a solid team on the road.
In the past, this is the type of game the closer would blow that would halt the momentum thus far in the season.
This team needs to win practically every single game they should win if they are going to make noise this season.

Well, 3 outs away boys. Sure would be great to get JJ an insurance run.
Yep, little breathing room would be great. Happy not to face Konerko in the 9th.

Would be huge to get an insurance run here.

Solid Team?!?!
I think if you want to win 82 games you need to beat teams like this.

Ehh, the White Sox will be okay IMO. They aren't that bad...they have talent, especially within their pitching staff.
Plus, it's on the road, in an April game with a lame crowd. Just normally a game the O's find a way to lose.

I think the White Sox are a solid ballclub. These are the types of teams the Orioles did not beat a year ago.

I hear what you're saying. I really see the White Sox being pretty dreadful this year though.
If the O's ever want to go from "the O's usually find a way to lose" to "this team isn't half bad" they need to win games like this. You know?

Agreed. Actually, anything on the road is an important win for the Orioles. There's too many series like these that the O's will only win 1 game. A lot of losses @ Oakland come to mind.
And agree with Jeff. These are the kinds of games the better teams win, so if you want to be a better team, better step up and get it done.
