I bet the guy has a sense of humor, just from watching him goof around with teammates after a win...
I think during a post-game interview, he oughta announce that "I have now learned 3 words in English: McNally, Palmer, and Cuellar" Given how blah he's been in those situations, everybody would be stunned for a half-a-sec and then crack up.
Plus, it would set the stage for him announcing additional "new words" as the situation warrants... it'd be great for lightening things up a little when appropriate... "My teammates just taught me two new words in English: 'garbage hit'"... or "I am new to American culture and still have much to learn about umpire eyesight in America"... or "Buck asked me if I was getting tired... I pretended to not know that word"... like that...

They touched on it during the game today, but here's more information from Roch:
Chen has changed grip on changeup. More like palm ball instead of circle change. Ramon Martinez taught him
Chen stated that he felt like he was opening up every time throwing his old changeup, and was hoping the new grip would help him. Dave Wallace first made mention of the change in grip to help with the separation between Chen's fastball and changeup.

As Jim Palmer alluded to, Chen showed a very strong change up tonight. It was a great pitch for him. He really pitched a nice game.
Plus, he's rattle-proof...

Nice night for Chen...
8ip, 4 hits, 2 er, 1 hr, 1 bb, 5 k's
And his timing was impeccable... going 8 is big at any time, but it was never needed more than now...

7 strong for Chen tonight... It's s shame he won't be back, because I think it will be hard to improve on him based on what the O's figure to want to spend.
