Chen vs. Peavy
Game 151: 9/18 O's @ Boston

Peavy's struggled a bit his last couple starts. 10 hits and 8 walks in 12 innings. Gonna need to get to him, because Chen's been getting hit around. Hopefully he can bounce back and be effective, but I'm not super optimistic. Buck needs another short leash tonight.

The walks Peavy has surrendered don't matter -- since we don't walk.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Feel free to give us the reverse jinx again though.

I think this is more or less the lineup, we'll be seeing the rest of the way, assuming we stay in contention. I think Wieters will get Saturday off (or atleast DH but with Valencia so good right now maybe not) on second thought, with the day after night game depending on matchups. But after that he's playing until we are out of contention. I wonder if Morse will find his way into the lineup pending injuries? Maybe spelling McLouth against LHP but that's it and I'm not sure how much if any that's an upgrade right now.
Orioles
McLouth LF
Machado 3B
Davis 1B
Jones CF
Markakis RF
Valencia DH
Wieters C
Hardy SS
Roberts 2B
Chen
Red Sox
Pedroia 2B
Victorino CF
Ortiz DH
Napoli 1B
Gomes LF
Nava RF
Middlebrooks 3B
Drew SS
Ross C
Peavy

Damn, I didn't realize how bad it was. Tied for dead last with Milwaukee. Of course, being third in the league in slugging percentage is helpful in overcoming that.

Morse should be playing for Markakis against lefties, not McLouth. McLouth at least plays good defense.

Well Peavy certainly didn't struggle in the first.
Come on Chen! Need a good start from him. Also, Chen needs a nickname.

Haha, Jones signalling the 1 out in Center. What a nut.

Just your typical Orioles first inning there.

Not sure what's up with Chen of late, but he's really crapping the bed for us at the most inopportune time here.

Probably not the best time to be working on it. Should wait until he's pitching well so we're feeling a bit more magnanimous towards him.

21 pitches later, Chen's out of it, but 2-0 Red Sox. This game is the only 7 PM game with a score currently... the Rangers/Rays are scoreless in the 2nd, same with the Yanks/Jays.
