You have to like Arrieta today....great stuff, good tempo, and his pitch count is fine too...now, the key for him will be how consistent he can become start to start...now that he is healthy, the sky is the limit!

Hardy starts of the O's 6th, with a single past Valencia at 3rd.

You nailed it Pops. The Twins are not showing a particularly strong lineup, but today has been about what Arrieta is capable of. If he replicates his plan today, he can have success against anyone.

Hardy scores, as Markakis triples to RF. It appeared that Doumit had a play, but he was clearly uncomfortable in the OF.

O's up 4-0.

That ball should have been caught, but still have to like the fact that Nick is driving the ball today.

Jones fails to get Nick in, with a pop out to SS. Carroll made an over the shoulder catch in short lcf.

1 out.

Yep, very promising start so far. The curve has looked very good and while the command hasn't been great, he's been solid with it and has had flashes of great command.

The inning ends with Wieters popping out down the line in LF, and Markakis being thrown out at the plate.

4-0 O's going to 7th.

Arrieta comes back to k Morneau on the back-door slider. Palmer calls it a perfect pitch.

They're taking him out and I agree with the move. Take him out on a high note and before the pitch count gets into the 110+ range.
