Span slices a ball down the LF line past Reynolds. Reimold gets to the ball quickly, holding Valencia to 2nd.

Lindstrom has one of those windups where you are surprised he gets anyone out. Dont like what i see from him at all.

The Twins 8th ends, with Davis saving Reynolds. It appeared that Reynolds was going to pull Davis off the bag, but Davis made a nice stretch.

He throws hard, and easy; but does not get a lot of movement. If he keeps it low, he can probably help some.

Entering the game in the 9th for the O's, Patton walked Mauer on 4 pitches. He came back to get Morneau on a nice breaking ball for a k. 1 out.

Anyone who remembers '88 will always think an Opening Day win is BIG! Way to go Orioles!

Ha! 0-21 is pretty unfathomable. Hard to believe how big of a story that would be today. I remember Peter Jennings ending the ABC World News relaying a Peanuts cartoon, where Charlie Brown was celebrating finally winning a game. Lucy tells Charlie to relax, it was only the O's!

Also, as I know you remember, we were there for the '88 Opener... 12-0 Brewers. We should have known then.
