Def a lot of money but hes good insurance on the field. It also seems like he has bought into the mentor role. Should really be able to help Richardson out in the meeting room.Why? Feel like you've gotta ride or die with Richardson.

Colts almost made the playoffs with Richardson missing most of the year. Flacco gives them a better backup (or at least that's the hope) and better chance to dance if Richardson gets hurt again.Why? Feel like you've gotta ride or die with Richardson.

Minshew got 2/$25M, so Flacco is a lot cheaper.

I guess the money isn't as big of an issue when your starting QB is still on his rookie deal, but $8.7 for 39 year old Flacco is still crazy.

4.5M is guaranteed so that’s not crazy backup money. I guess he only gets 8+ if he has to play a lot.
