I wasn't old enough to remember the Colts leaving Baltimore but I still enjoy their embarassments. Yesterday was certainly one of them.

pretty sure, the Ravens should be embarrassed for losing after being up by so much.

At some point the Colts are going to have to draft and develop a quarterback. They've been essentially renting veteran has-beens and never-weres ever since Andrew Luck retired and still haven't found anyone to tiddle their winks.
I think the owner is behind this more than the coach or GM, to be honest, particularly since Ryan was demoted from first-string all the way down to third. This sounds like a classic Irsay move.

Heard Reich explain it as, we need a mobile QB behind this line and Ryan is not mobile. It’s more about adapting to a need.
At 3-3-1 and in weak division it’s puzzling to see them make this move now but Ryan isn’t good either.

Definitely an ownership decision, but compounded, I'm sure, by Ryan's sub-par play thus far.
Ryan could collect up to $17 million in injury guarantees (on top of is already guaranteed $12 million salary for next year) should they prevent him from passing a physical by mid-March of next year, which I'm assuming is the beginning of the league's year. The Colts certainly don't want to pay him any more than the $12 million they're already obligated to pay him not to play for them next year.

What exactly were they expecting from Matt Ryan? They should be thrilled with a .500 record.

It makes me think someone never wanted Ryan, in the first place.

Obviously Indy doesn't care much about winning right now. I'd go with Minshew to start the year.

Today's NFL is all about finding a way to win a super bowl on your QB's rookie contract.
No time like the present.

Permission to seek a trade at a time when most teams are at or near the salary cap.
