CNN: Donald Sterling tells Anderson Cooper: I was 'baited' into 'a terrible mistake'
"When I listen to that tape, I don't even know how I can say words like that. ... I don't know why the girl had me say those things," he told CNN's Anderson Cooper in an exclusive interview set to air on Monday.
"You're saying you were set up?" Cooper asked.
"Well yes, I was baited," Sterling said. "I mean, that's not the way I talk. I don't talk about people for one thing, ever. I talk about ideas and other things. I don't talk about people."

@PeteCarroll The Clippers would be so fortunate to get Steve Ballmer as owner. He's a great competitive force & would bring big energy to the LAC fanbase

Huge development in Clips sale - offers due by 5pm ET today according to Bloomberg. Some bidders haven't even talked to Sterling's wife yet.
If over-under for Clips price was 2 billion, I'd bet heavily on the "over." Nothing up to 2.5b would shock me. Too many rich peeps involved.

Or at least the SEA fanbase

CBS Sports: Report: Ex-Microsoft CEO Ballmer puts in $1.8 billion bid on Clippers
The next question if Ballmer wins is what he intends to do with it. The ideaof moving it to Seattle seems prepostrous to me. For starters, the $1.8 billion evaluation isn't based on the team's illustrious championship history and strong independent brand; the Clippers have been a joke until Blake Griffin was drafted outside of a few years (shout out, Elton Brand- Sam Cassell Clippers). It's the market. An NBA team in Los Angeles. Moving it from LA to Seattle would be like moving a team from Seattle to Oklahoma City.
But the NBA would also likely block that. As much as they'd love their share of the $1.8 billion lining their pockets and pushing up the valuations on their teams, moving a team out of LA is not good for business, and would lower the valuation immediately, which again, bad for business.
Wait.

CBS Sports: Report: Steve Ballmer to buy Clippers for $2 billion
Apparently it's happening but you got this...
For the sale to the ex-Microsoft CEO to be official, it would need to be approved by Donald Sterling, the controlling owner of the Clippers who has been banned by the NBA for life. It would also need to be approved by the other owners.

How many times is Ballmer asked at his presser if he's planning on moving them to Seattle?
