They were an elite 8 team last year.
I see we're using the word "elite" loosely here.
“We have a shot at a wild card right now. But it is not a probability that we're going to win a wild card.” -2022 Trade Deadline
"It's liftoff from here" - after selling on 2022
"We're on a slight upward arc" - Winter Meetings 2022
"I think it's really hard to sit there and chart a course and say, 'We're likely to win the division.'" - Winter Meetings 2022

Yeah, not fair to have the label of being lambs in the tournament.
Since 2000:
2000-01: National Champs
01-02: Sweet 16
02-03: Sweet 16
03-04: F4
04-05: Sweet 16
05-06: Sweet 16
06-07: Rd of 64
07-08: Rd of 32
08-09: Sweet 16
09-10: National Champs
10-11: Sweet 16
11-12: Rd of 64
12-13: Elite 8
Can't really ask for much more than that. Couple of years where the tournament ended early based on expectations, but that's the tournament. Also have the '09-'10 National Title, and that team (even with 35 wins) was more 'very good' than 'great'. Things balance out, but pretty much any program would kill for that level of consistent success.

Pretty sure Cisc-O's was just doing some classic Duke hate Schtick, like I was. You know, for trolls and what not. Can't help but hate.

Yes any team would kill for that, when you reach those heights however, anything less than a Sweet 16 appearance is a failure and you usually aren't satisfied with less than a Final Four.

Can't wait for Duke/KU tonight....should be a hell of a game.
Should be a great night. Kentucky/Michigan State shouldn't disappoint either. Good chance we're watching 2 or 3 of this year's final 4 teams in those two games, IMO.

Just noted by Shulman for the Champions Classic that there are 68 scouts at the United Center. Wonder if that's the record?
