CBS Sports: Pac 12 Preview

Good to see a P-12 post, I'm not sure how many are interested besides myself and Birds of Bmore. Colorado just sold out their season tickets this year, which is a huge accomplishment I'd say considering when I was there I could count on one hand how many games sold out, maybe a few fingers on my second hand.
Stanford athletic director Bernard Muir is on record essentially stating that unless Johnny Dawkins makes the NCAA tournament for the first time in his sixth season with the Cardinal then he probably won't get a seventh chance to do it.
He's gone from K's possible replacement to this.
Also, curious to see how Enfield does and what Steve Alford will do with UCLA. I know it's Oregon State, but I think they'll probably have to make the tournament or come pretty close for Craig Robinson to be retained.

I've always liked the style of play of the Pac 12.

ESPN: Kevin Ware expected for opener
http://espn.go.com/m...-uniform-opener
Louisville coach Rick Pitino expects guard Kevin Ware to be in uniform when the Cardinals open their season Nov. 9 against Charleston.
"He'll suit up for the first game," Pitino said. "Whether he gets in or not, we'll see."
It be pretty cool if he played; obviously, you don't want him coming back too early.

I can tell you one thing. He's dead on saying Christon is the best nba talent in the big East. He's dead wrong if he thinks Chris Mack is just going to roll over and say Xavier isn't going to be good this year.Grantland: Big East Preview http://www.grantland...arting-big-east

Tar Heels had a "secret" scrimmage in Memphis with Vanderbilt the other day, and according to a friend of mine with ties to Carolina Basketball, the words he heard, and I quote: "Not good".
So there's that. Please note that Vanderbilt is expected to be down this year.

Sounds like this Duke team is going to be the most athletic and talented Duke team as they have had in years.
Problem for them is size...They don't have a lot of it and rebounding and defending in the post could be an issue for them.

Bdzelik (who should've been fired last year if his friend wasn't AD), Dawkins, and Barnes sounds about right. It's all up to the new AD in the Barnes case, so unless they go to the Final Four or have a really, really good year he could be out of a job regardless of how he does IMO
