Oh man, I hadn't heard about Dennis Farina. That's too bad. He's awesome. Loved him in Snatch and in several other things he's been in.

I lost all respect for Helen Thomas with her anti-Semetic rant. It was a sad way IMO for her to end such a distinguished career.

I didn't hear about Dennis Farina, either. Crap!

He was great on "Luck" too. Sad.

Not a very well known movie, but Big Trouble was one of my favorite role's of his. The scene at the end where they are on the plane full of Florida fans absolutely kills me.

I heard about Thomas but not Farina. Bummer. He was also really good in "Bottle Shock," a really good and non-discussed movie, in my opinion.
Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Farina had a great way of blending psycho with comedy. As stated above, he was great in Snatch but also in Midnight Run and perhaps my favorite role of his was as Ray "Bones" Barboni in Get Shorty. He has some of the funniest, laugh out loud lines in that movie.
Chili Palmer. Chilly outside. Chili inside. It's a regular fuckin' chili-fest. Hey, waiter, give Mr Palmer a big fuckin' bowl of chili!

That's one of my favorite books, and I love the movie, too. Lots of good B-list actors. He was great in his role.
Not a shock on the level of Gandolfini, I guess, but still upsetting. Hell, more people probably saw Farina on TV than Gandolfini.

Wow just made another Get Shorty connection...both Farina and Gandolfini were in it. Yikes.

Farina was a consultant on the film "Heat". One of my favorites. Probably why he played a detective in so many roles. Great in "Snatch" too. Sad.
Apparently he was a former Chicago police officer. Never knew that.

Great line seen on Fark: "After Gandolfini and Farina. Abe Vigoda HAS to be getting nervous."

It's like that title is cursed or something (sorry).
Just for facts' sake, he was the oldest living man. The oldest living woman is Misao Okawa.
